Eating Out

 IMPORTANT NOTE

It may be advisable to slightly restrict your diet while in Chile, avoiding uncooked shell fish, vegetables, and tap water.

The water in the La Serena Compound, on Cerro Pachon and Cerro Tololo is carefully treated and should cause no difficulty; elsewhere we recommend you drink bottled water, soft drinks, beer, wine, etc., instead of tap water.

If you have any dietary restrictions please be sure inform us of your special requirements on the registration form or by separate e-mail.

Both the Hotel Costa Real and Caja de Compensación Los Andes Resort have restaurants offering a wide range of Chilean and International meals. The Hotal Carrera no longer has a restaurant.

For those who wish to eat out, we provide a selected list of restaurants on the Avenida del Mar, and in the down town area.
